What To Expect

What To Expect

What can I expect when I call?

When you’re ready to take that big step and make the decision to start counseling, you may feel a bit uncomfortable, maybe even scared, about what to expect.  This is natural and completely normal.

What’s most important is that you select a therapist you feel comfortable with, who can help you where you are right now and work with you to get you where you want or need to be.

When you call my office, you’ll get my voice mail.  Please leave a message and be sure to include your name and the number where you’d like me to reach you, as well as some times that are convenient for us to talk. I’ll call you back as soon as I can.   If you would prefer to contact me by email, please do.  I’ll respond as soon as I can.

I have daytime hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and limited evening appointments available.

My office is located in Los Altos, CA, in the Los Altos Courtyard office park just off Foothill Expressway, in Loyola Corners.

Please park in the lot and walk through the courtyard.  I’m located in Suite 106.  My office on the ground floor and is easily accessible.

Inside the waiting room you will see wall switches, labeled for each therapist in our office.  Flip the switch for Deborah Marshall and take a seat.  This signals me that you’re here for our appointment.  I will come to the waiting room to greet you shortly and escort you to my office.

Our meetings will be once a week to start.  We may choose to meet more frequently, or less, as your needs and schedule allow.

If you live in CA, but would prefer to meet remotely, we can meet from the comfort of your home or office via secure link on your laptop or smartphone.

Please give me a call at 408-689-8007 and let’s talk about how I might help you today.
